Good morning for Ibiza Lovers! Our next stop is in the charming area of San Juan in Ibiza to visit Villa Koala. San Juan is one of those villages where it feels that time just never passed by and the fairies of nature and heaven are permanent residents. There are some very charming spots like The Guiri Cafe a housed in a beautifully authentic main street building, with a gorgeous courtyard garden – yet stepping inside reveals a whole world of dreamy design mastery. From the moment you step in the front door, you can tell this is something different altogether. A long, pale green smoked glass bar top sits handsomely in front of a superbly well-stocked bar, with high stools to sit on as you sip your Martini – very NYC indeed. So as we pass the village we go into some side roads that will take us to Villa Koala.
We land a magnificent 360º mountain view, green, olive trees, pine trees and ibicenco field invade the property. We walk through a large wooden door into an amazing luxurious paradise hidden in the green paradise and welcoming us to open views and a large terrace. We walk though custom made fire place with very funky-Brit floral print, a bit further a ultra modern kitchen with an antique and large breakfast wooden table perfect for family long wining and dining overlooking the San Juan mountains.
All the bedrooms are very much hotel like picture perfect, all with views to the valley and garden areas, modern gray bathrooms. Then the annex and the guest area, totally private, with their own access where your guests will be comfortable, pampered and just like at home! I felt like not moving one step forward but now the pool area. They tell me its the highlight of the property! They where totally right…down I go through some very old and wide wooden steps hip hoping around the garden and this tremendous delightful pool area, all decked, ultra modern sun beds, beautiful ultra white parasols and as the sun goes down I just wonder if I could stay just a little bit longer at Villa Koala.
